Comment : Alba Guesthouse is great! The staff are so nice and the environment is really home-like. Though it's not in the city center, the house is located in a nice neighbourhood and is within easy walking distance of almost everything in the city. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Comment : A lovely guesthouse - friendly, welcoming, very clean and breakfast was great. Location is a little bit away from the centre of Reykjavik (15 mins walk) but taxis are reasonable and it is near the bus terminal. Definitely recommend Alba to anyone visiting Reykjavik.

Comment : Really liked this guesthouse. It's less than a ten minute walk from the BSI bus terminal, less than 15 mins to the centre of the city. It's spotless, lovely furniture and very well kept. Highly recommended. We booked a triple room at low season over the Internet and it worked out extremely reasonable. And the beds are very comfy!

Comment : A very clean, well presented and lovingly cared for guesthouse about 15 minutes walk from both the bus terminus and central Reykjavik. The rooms are simple but very comfortable [no TV or kettle if that bothers you and mine was not en-suite although the shared bathroom facilities were perfectly adequate and absolutely spotless] - and the bed was good quality. The breakfast was simple, the usual Nordic buffet, and the coffee good. I would certainly stay there again.

Comment : The atmosphere at the guest house was welcoming and and pleasant. The owner was very helpful with helpig us organise our time in Iceland.Alba is spotless. Easy walk from BSi. Easy walk to church , Perlan and downtown (comfortable). An accessable kettle to boil water with would have been nice. Maybe breakfast to start at 7AM ( normally 7:30 and excellent quality )if going on a tour with pick up at 7:30.

Comment : Having received a 40% discount for booking on-line and during a Hotels-Direct promo, we were particularly pleased with Alba given the extornate rates for accommodation in Iceland. The guesthouse was full of guests so the morning rush hour for the showers was very busy - they could use a spare toilet (and not within a shower/bathroom)!! Sigrun was wonderful, friendly and very helpful with travel, eating and pub tips – in all, a fantastic, modern, clean and convenient place to stay. Thanks Sigrun!!!

Comment : The owner and staff at the Alba Guest House gave us a great welcome. They were very helpful in sorting out car hire and giving local advice about buses etc. The accommodation was fresh and clean with some interesting paintings and plants around the guesthouse. The guesthouse is a 15 min walk from the Centre but close to the Pearl Observation. We stayed for six nights and hope to return at some stage to see more of Iceland with its fascinating landscapes.

Comment : La note un peu moins bonne concernant les service offerts est liée au fait qu'il n'y a pas de téléphone ni de télévision ( on s'en passe facilement !). Pour le téléphone la responsable de cette guesthouse m'a très aimablement ( et gratuitement) prêté son téléphone portable pour que je puisse appeler chez moi !

Good value for money. If you have a rental car, as we had the location is close to downtown as well as with quick access to roads leading out of town.

Comment : Location is walking distance to major bus station and to the center of the city, if you are in good shape. One of us has knee problems, so we walked twice but got a taxi to return. Guesthouse is very nice, pleasant hosts. Only problem was that it is close to ongoing construction of a major highway. We, however, had a room on the other side of the building.
