| Situated in the heart of the city on the quiet Salzach promenade, the Hotel Sacher Salzburg offers an impressive view of the Hohensalzburg fortress. It is the city´s Grand Hotel, and has been the very center of social life since its opening in 1866. In 1988, the hotel was taken over by the Gürtler family and complements the Hotel Sacher Wien perfectly. All 113 rooms and suites have been furnished and decorated, with much attention to detail. Besides modern amenities, such as internet access and air-conditioning, they feature furniture and original paintings. The restaurants, the elegant piano bar and the Café Sacher add its individual character and charm. |

The gourmetrestaurant ´Zirbelzimmer´ is a ´must´ for all of those who appreciate the traditional Salzburg-style. Its wood-panelled ceiling has been preserved in its original state since its foundation.
