Comment: Brilliant location for tourists who wish to be close to Harbour area and main attractions. Quality of accommodation at hotel is generous for a city centre hotel. We really enjoyed our 6 night stay.

Comment: Le style de l'appartement n'était vraiment plus d'époque. Dès le 2ème jour nous n'avions plus de thé pour le petit déjeuner et nous n'avons jamais été ravitaillés!

Comment: Hard to judge value since prices were inflated over New Year's Eve. Very positive experience, but definitely pricey.

Comment: The Christmas special was good value and the apartment was nice. On the negative side, the sofa bed wasn't made up and we had to ask for the linent to be brought up and the bed to be made which was done in a rather perfunctory manner. Also the breakfast hamper was not provided; eventually upon our request a rather odd collection of items (including lots of chocolate muffins) was brought up. Also when we arrived at the apartment, the bin contained rubbish from the previous occupant. Apart from that, the location was great and it was nice to have a gym and a pool and the apartment was very well resourced - 2 TVs, kitchen contents, washing machine, dryer etc.

Comment: The front desk was very helpful. They moved us to a different room with no extra charge and no inconvenience. The hotal was very close to the Wynyard rail station.

Comment: The housekeeping of The York by Swiss-Belhotel is the worst that I have come across in the past 30 years of travelling. 1. Consummable not refilled (incl. toilet paper and bath gels, shampoo etc). For five days, I had to personally go to the front desk to chase down those basic supplies. 2. Vacuuming of carpet was only done on 2 out of our 10 night stay. 3. For those days that housekeep did visit our room, no cleaning of the facilities was evident. 4. Housekeeping unavailable on several days. On one occasion, a note was slipped into our room, saying that the housekeeper is done for the day. And the time when we received the note was only 10:40am!!! 5. Facilities in the kitchen and furniture not up to par. They are at the most a 2 star establishment.
