| Located just forty nine miles west of Havana in the Las Terrazas forest preserve, Hotel Moka is one of Cuba´s most unique hotels. Set amid the forested hills of Las Terrazas, it´s difficult to say where the 4 star hotel finishes and the forest starts. Simply put, the Moka is romantic, intimate, and fully deserving of your time. Moka´s designed is based on a contemporary interpretation of Spanish colonial architecture, and features a splendid multi-tiered atrium lobby built around a large lime tree (the branches magically disappear through the skylight). The two-story units have magnificent red-barked trees growing through the balconies and ceiling. Each room has floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a French door leading onto a spacious terracotta tiled balcony with tables, reclining chairs, and a to-die-for view through the trees to the lake. The bathroom is as romantic as can be with a big tub at the base of an enormous window looking out over the woods. |
