A well known couple in the hospitality industry, Don Guillermos del Toro and Dona Pilar Samoano, totally transformed the hotel in 1995, implementing innovative services that heightened its solid reputation to make it an accommodation landmark throughout Latin America. Today the remodeled Telegrafo Hotel stands in authentic commemoration of the hotel’s glorious 19th century luxury and charm. Travellers can trace the hotel’s architectural evolution from the original style still visible on the first two floors, to the more contemporary design of the third storey. Sixty three spacious rooms with high ceilings, located in the three floors have views mainly on Prado Promenade. Where nowadays the snack bar is located the old ruins of the original courtyard can still be discovered. Its big half archers, without plaster show bricks and masonry which contrast with the modern design of the hotel.
