An important functionalist building from 1962 and listed as a cultural heritage site, it was influenced by both the pre-war Bauhaus style and the Brazilian architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. Especially noteworthy is the hotel interior which is decorated with works of art from the Brussels movement, the only avant garde art school of the latter half of the Twentieth Century in which Czech artists played a major international role.
