In the hotel building, the former Eastern gate of Ungelt (formerly a custom house), has been overbuilt. Already during the 12th century, lively business has been developing here, ensuring economical prosperity of this important European business crossroads. The nowadays state of the Tyn courtyard has been created after huge fire in 1689 by architect Mr. P.I. Bayer. [-]

The restaurant is divided into two storeys, namely the ground floor and the gothic cellar premises from the middle of the 13th century. The summer terrace of the restaurant is open from April till the end of October, and it enables to have leisurely a rest in the curtilage of the Tyn Courtyard with a view of the Tyn Church towers. The menu is composed of Czech & Italian cuisine specialties, such as salads, pastas, steaks and pizza, as well as a great selection of home-made deserts.
