Hotel description
The farm holiday centre ´Relais Il Cantico della Natura´ is located in strategic position between Umbria and Tuscany (30 km from Assisi and 15 from Cortona) on the top of Umbrian green hills with a wonderful view on Lake Trasimeno, at 450mt. above sea level in a beautiful natural landscape. This ancient house of the XVI century with visible stones has been accurately renovated according to principles of bio-construction, using salvage and recycled materials. In this way the original aspect and atmosphere have been preserved, matching parfectly with the surrounding nature featuring 500 age old olive trees, a chestnut wood, small pinewoods and a strawberry-tree wood. In the intime athmosphere of the stone wall restaurant, guests can taste typical Umbrian dishes made out of natural and biological products from the farm and from the region; in our philosophy food is a vital nourishment for a pleasant and healthy life, well expressed through gastronomic art. Moreover at the farm, guests can have lessons on products preparation and on traditional cooking, on the basis of good taste and typical food. The 1o rooms, the 2 suite, the apartment are finely restored and furnished in the XIX century style. They are named after the months of the year they represent. Every month has its own colour and corresponds to a rural life phase; personalised bath, bathrooms, fabrics, objects matching with a specific month make a seasonal path at Cantico della Natura connected to life season as well. Some room havebathtub for 2 persons for a very intime moment. They are served with special attention and services: flor eating system, air conditioning, internet connection in each room, the boiler with a selection of the ant tisane, fine bottle of grappa, delicate incense for a total relax athmosphere.
