Romeo Castle is an elegant palace built in the fourteenth century, stands on the slopes of Etna in the small hamlet of Montelaguardia near the historic town of Randazzo. Randazzo, an important city in medieval times, is a focal point for exploring an area that includes three protected areas: the Park dell´Etnea, that Nebrodi and the Alcantara River Park. Castle of the XIV century that emanates charm and appeal, belonged to the Marquis of Torrazza Romeo had in the past guests, including the Royal of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III and Queen Elena. From the mighty portal conci lava, arc gotivo low, we enter the inner courtyard, the center of which stands the main building with its tower. In the courtyard are the rooms, reading room, bar and two restaurants, while in the main building, the suite, the reception halls on the first floor, a wine bar and dune recreation room on the ground floor. The castle is surrounded by an area measuring 28 hectares, in it up to 50 years there were huge expanses of vineyards in fact the whole complex predominantly assumed the character of wine, now this vast territory is covered by Mediterranean scrub. At the castle you can enjoy the ancient and typical Sicilian recipes, and there is an opportunity not only to stay but, for the kind of trekking hiking along nature trails and use the riding adjacent to romantic horse
