Comment: Hotel is one of the most expensive in Hoi An and I was disappointed to be charged for just about everything I wanted to do. Hire tennis rackets, pay 103,000vnd for a bottle of water, for dinner. It was so overpriced it spoilt the stay. The place was nice but the high price of everything really spoilt our stay. Also we checked out at 11:30 and went to take a few last photos around the complex and were escorted to reception by the security guard. The place is fine, just the very poor way in which they treat guests like cash dispensers.

Comment: Las habitaciones no estan insonorizadas, por lo que es totalmente imposible el descanso por la gran cantidad de ruido que tanto las habituaciones colindantes como el servicio del hotel genera.

Comment: The beach was fantastic. My son and I appreciated the friendly and helpful service from the beach staff. They went out of their way to make our stay fun. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The Christmas dinner was way overpriced and the food was interesting but not tasty or value for the money, especially for children. People generally don't want gourmet food at resorts. They want tasty, but fairly simple comfort food when far from home. I thought it was also a bit much that the Christmas dinner was mandatory. It seemed like a money grab.

Comment: Palm Garden is a large resort with some good facilities that feels quite impersonal at times due to it's size. The pool wasn't as clean as it could be and smelt strongly chlorinated. The towels provided for use by the pool were stained. The free shuttle buses into Hoian town were not at the most convenient times... e.g. if you wish to go into town for dinner, you'd need to hire a taxi. The hotel restaurant was great for breakfast, but otherwise fairly mediocre compared to the quality of food available in Hoian town.

Comment: The best part of this resort is definitely the staff. They are friendly, happy, and make staying there a memorable experience. While prices are generally okay for the accomodations, tours and airport transfers are much higher than locally available. Finally, the bikes are terrible and should be free of charge. Looking forward to coming back (to new bikes!).

Comment: We had a problem when we checked into the hotel. They put us in a Sea View room, but it didn't have a sea view at all. We had to make a big fuss to get changed into a room with a view. The new room was excellent. The other problem was that we had to eat their compulsory Christmas Eve gala dinner and I got food poisoning from the squid. The new room was excellent, and overall we really enjoyed our stay, but they need to work on a few things to really be a 5 star hotel.
