A short walk from the famous Brasserie Georges, in the city of Lyon in France, we met Laurent Elbaz. In charge of the Revenue Management and the digital strategy of the Authentik Hotels group, Laurent shared with us 5 features of the FASTBOOKING Distribution Manager that make his work easier.

 

We chose to migrate from the Channel Manager to the new Distribution Manager as soon as it’s been released, and we do not regret it.
Distribution Manager opens with my browser, it is the day-to-day tool that allows us to efficiently build a direct bookings oriented strategy.

Here are my 5 favorite features:

 

1. Inventory and markup rules on rates secure my sales

Inventory and markup rules on rates secure my sales. For example our ‘Last Room’ rate is only available on our website when we have a few rooms available.

 

2. The mapping

It is very simple, I am autonomous. I have the possibility to send only the inventory for complex contracts, especially with tour operators. This significantly simplifies management. I appreciate the customer-oriented approach of FASTBOOKING: in fact, this functionality was integrated following an exchange with customers.

3. Colour and clarity of the grid

Building a strategy is now a pleasure!

 

4. The Magic Button

On the top right of the price list, it allows me to update all the availabilities. This eases my life and that of the receptionists who close and open availabilities more easily. The comparison is without appeal, the time spent is divided by 3!

5. The management of restrictions per channel

Finally, a new feature has caught my attention: the management of restrictions per channel (Min and max duration of stay) is now available. A real asset to differentiate the direct channel from other sales channels.

 

Moreover, what makes the use of Distribution Manager all the more pleasant is the support and the accompaniment of Matthieu, our dedicated Account Manager. And the reason why we are loyal to FASTBOOKING, in addition to the performance of its technological solutions, is also the seriousness and availablility of the teams, who are listening to the hoteliers, and the dynamics of the company, which regularly comes up with updates, new solutions and innovations.
